The West Australian newspaper first reported the assault earlier Thursday.
Final week, fellow Australian uncommon earths producer Northern Minerals Ltd. mentioned a few of its knowledge had been launched onto the “darkish net” months after the agency detected a breach of its cybersecurity protections.
The information “included company, operational and monetary data and a few particulars referring to present and former personnel and a few shareholder data,” Northern Minerals mentioned on the time.
Earlier this month, Australia ordered a Chinese language-linked fund and its associates to promote their stakes in Northern Minerals, a part of an effort by US allies to counter China’s dominance of important minerals.
