The three-year contract will give employees a “vital increase” when it comes to wage and advantages, the union stated in a press release.
Earlier this week, employees and the agency had reached an preliminary settlement that required a vote by union members to enter impact.
The union represents greater than 1,100 employees on the copper mine positioned in northern Chile. Their earlier collective settlement expired on Could 31.
BHP had beforehand stated that the Spence mine, which produced 249,000 metric tons of copper final 12 months, was working as regular whereas the agency was in negotiations with the union.
